Gardening club - allotment visit

On Friday afternoon the gardening club were extremely lucky to be able to visit Over Allotments.

After weeks of planning, designing and constructing our suffragette scarecrow – Ethel Smyth – we were able to go and visit her in her new surroundings.

The children, and staff, had a great time wandering through the allotments, learning about the various plants, the history of the site and tasting the strawberries!

We are now keeping our fingers crossed as we await the result of the scarecrow competition.
