School Council

About your school council

The school council meet once a month to discuss ways in which we can improve our school and to address any issues or concerns that are raised by the children of Over St John's.

Each month a task, discussion or mission is set and the school council explores it.  Exploration can be through

  • democratic voting
  • debating
  • information sharing
  • individual speeches
  • pair share talk activities
  • practical tasks

All responses and feedback is then shared with Mrs Snowdon.

Our current project is achieving Plastic Free School's Status.  We wish to show our courageous advocacy by speaking out to protect the Earth that God created.

You can find more information about the project here https://plasticfreeschools.org.uk/
