In our History lesson last week, we learnt about the events at Dunkirk in May 1940 by looking at images taken at the time and reading a picture book inspired by the events called 'The Little Ships'. In small groups, the children were given a theme/perspective for one verse of a poem. Once all the verses were written, we put them together to form a whole class poem. The finished product is a beautiful poem!
