Blakemere's Weekly Blog -14.07,2023

What a great week we had in Blakemere with so many different things taking place. We all can't quite believe that we are into our final two weeks in school and on Friday came the realisation for the Year 6 children that this was their last Friday at OSJ.

On Tuesday, the Year 6 children attended the Leavers' Service at Chester Cathedral. It was a lovely service to be part of. We had planned to visit Grosvenor Park after the service, however the rain put a stop to that so we headed back to school earlier than planned. It wasn't all plain sailing coming home though as our bus broke down and we needed to wait for another one. 

Wednesday was also our last swimming session for the Year 6 children. It has been wonderful watching them progress over the last term whilst developing and perfecting their swimming skills. The last session included a variety of water fun and games, which the children thoroughly enjoyed. 

The Year 6 children also held their dress rehearsal for the play on Thursday at the URC. It was great to see them on the stage and we are all now ready to perform to our parents and carers on Tuesday. 

As always, the Year 5 children from Blakemere have worked extremely hard and have been extremely supportive of the Year 6 children. I am very much looking forward to seeing their journey in Year 6 next year.
