Wow, this week went very quickly and only 2 more to go until half term. 

What have we been learning about this week? 

• We completed our work with place value within in 10. Next week we will be starting a new block of work about addition and subtraction with numbers to 10. 
• In English, we are getting ready to write our own adventure story based on Lost and Found. Can your child tell you about the characters they are going to have in their story? 
• In science we concluded our science investigation about which bridge is the strongest. We found out that the zig zag bridge was the strongest. There were too many cubes to count! 
• We really enjoyed our art this week where we added water to a pen drawing. Can your child tell you what happened? 
• We have been assessing phonics knowledge this week. We have been so impressed with how much knowledge the children have already gained and remembered. Thank you for supporting this by reading regularly at home. 

Nursery Rhyme of the Week - this will be a new feature on our class blog. Each week we will be learning a different nursery rhyme. 
This week we have been singing 'A sailor went to sea'. We hope you enjoy singing it together at home. Click here for music and words.
