This week we have:

• Completed out first poetry unit and written our own poems about there being no such thing as monsters. We were very impressed with the imaginative ideas and used of language patterns that the children used. 
• In maths, we have moved on from addition and are now focusing on subtraction. We have started out work by looking at subtraction stories.
• Our computing unit is digital painting. We are using Microsoft Paint. If you don’t have access to this at home children can practise their skills by using paintz.app that we used last half term.
• In science we are continuing to learn about materials. This week our focus has been on describing the properties of materials. We have been impressed with the children’s use of scientific vocabulary.
