I can't believe it is now December. Our first window on our class advent calendar was opened today and the offical countdown has begun,

Once again, Oakmere have been working extremely hard. We have begun to explore multiplication and have looked at all the different ways we can show our times tables. On Friday, we explored answering a reasoning question which involved multiplication. This was quite challenging, but the children worked extremely hard at solving it. Well done!

We have also explored and practised using speech and puncutating it correclty this week in English. We firstly begun looking at how we use speech marks to show who is talking and then we moved on to writing some dialogue between two of our characters from our book - Michael Recycle and Litterbug Doug. The children enjoyed thinking about what the characters might say and putting it into a speech sandwich.

We have also begun to rehearse our song for the Christmas Carol Service.
