Welcome to Hatchmere!

Hatchmere are the Reception class at Over St John's CofE Primary School. In Hatchmere, Mrs Teece is the class teacher. Miss Dyson and Mrs Hodge are the class teaching assistants.

Every day your child should bring in a coat and their book bag. Alongside these items they will also need a filled water bottle and a small, healthy snack. All of these items should be clearly named.

P.E. Will be taught on a Thursday and Friday. Your child will need a P.E. kit in a small drawstring bag. This will be kept in the classroom and sent home at the end of each half term. Spare clothes may also be kept in your child's P.E bag. Again, all items should be clearly named including the P.E. bag.

Below you will find a link to our class blog. There will be a new blog uploaded every Friday. Please use the information and pictures in the blog to talk to your child about their adventures, creations, friendships and experiences from their time at school. It is amazing how much your child can remember and explain about their learning when they have a picture to reflect upon.  Within the blog will also be a 'Learning Map' for the week ahead. This will explain what your child will be learning about the following week and is another opportunity to support your child’s learning by preparing them for the week ahead.
