Welcome to Sandymere Class!

Welcome to Year 1! We are a happy, caring and busy class where every child is encouraged to grow in confidence, curiosity and independence.

Our class teacher is Mrs Bettley and Miss Reid teaches us on Monday and Tuesday mornings.

At Over St John's, our vision is:

In Sandymere Class, we encourage all children to let their light shine through their learning, friendships, kindness and positive attitudes. We celebrate every child's unique gifts and achievements as they learn and grow together.

Our class Christian value is Thankfulness, inspired by the words:

"In all things give thanks."

Throughout our learning, we encourage children to recognise and appreciate the many people, opportunities and blessings in their lives. We strive to show gratitude, kindness and respect, helping us to become caring members of our school community.

Our Curriculum Map provides an overview of the exciting learning that will take place throughout the year.

We have PE lessons on Tuesday and Wednesday each week.PE kits may be kept in school. Please ensure that all clothing and footwear are clearly named and stored in a bag that can be hung on your child's peg.
