Welcome to Over St. John's CE Primary School

At Over St John's CE Primary School, we are proud to have served Over and its surrounding community since the 1860s. Our original school building, dating back to 1840, sits at the heart of Delamere Street and has been thoughtfully modernised over the years to provide excellent learning environments and facilities for our children.

Our school is known for its warm, family atmosphere, where children of all ages learn and grow together. In Key Stage 2, we organise classes as mixed-age groups based on children's dates of birth. This approach allows us to create balanced classes and provides valuable opportunities for pupils to learn from, support and inspire one another.

Admissions

We currently have places available in Years 1, 4, 5 and 6. Please contact the school office for further information about in-year admissions.

Reception admissions for September intake are managed by the Local Authority. If your child is due to start school in September 2027 and you would like to visit our school, please contact the school office to arrange an appointment. We would be delighted to show you around.

School Day

Our school day runs from 8:35am to 3:00pm, providing 32 hours and 5 minutes of education each week. Registration takes place at 8:45am, and we encourage all children to arrive promptly to ensure a positive start to their day.
