Date: 5th Mar 2020 @ 11:12am
Hello! This week Sandymere class have presented a whole school collective worship focussing on the christian value of thankfulness. What a fabulous job they did! They retold the story of Jesus and the lepers Luke 17:11-19
reflected on our class Bible verse 'In all things give thanks' Thessalonians 5:18 and sang the song If I were a Butterfly. The children's singing was simply beautiful. Thank you Sandymere class for being great performers, speakers and singers. You should be very proud of yourselves.
I english we have been looking at poetry with particular focus on list poems such as At the Zoo and The Empty Classroom. We have taken inspiration from The Carnival of Animals composition. If your child would like to listen to it again the link is here:

I can't wait to read the list poems that the children are going to write today and tomorrow! I'm sure they're going to be very interesting and exciting
In maths we have continued to look at fact families, trying to find all possibilities for addition and subtraction facts such as
11 + 2 = 3
2 + 11 = 13
13 = 11 + 2
13 = 2 + 11
13 - 2 = 11
13 - 11 = 2
11 = 13 - 2
2 = 13 - 11
All library books have been changed and there is a Winnie the Witch theme to the books this week. If your child forgot their library book to exchange, don't worry theu can watch Winnie the Witch story here
