09.07.17 Over St. John’s Extreme Reading Challenge.
Date: 9th Jul 2017 @ 12:13pm
We are inviting you ALL (including parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and staff!) to take part in the Over St. John’s Extreme Reading Challenge.
Where is the most extreme place you or your child has ever read a book? Whether it is up a tree, on top of a mountain or standing on your head, we want your photos! Your Summer holiday challenge is to take a picture reading somewhere extreme and send it in to school by Friday 8th September 2017.
A display will be made from the photos in school and on our school website. Entries can be emailed to admin@overstjohns.cheshire.sch.uk or printed off and brought into school when we return in September. If a photograph isn’t possible, why not write a book review. A template will be added to the school website.
Remember you can read anything: a recipe, a magazine, the whole Harry Potter series, a book you can read in a day, a book that is set in the future, a poetry book or even a book that your parents read as a child.
Obviously, we encourage you to keep safe (We wouldn’t recommend reading in the jaws of a crocodile!) but we are really looking forward to seeing who in school has such a passion for reading that they have to do it anywhere and everywhere!
