12.6.19 Sandymere Learning Update TRIP TO DELAMERE

On Tuesday, Sandymere and Delamere class headed off to Delamere Forest to learn more about trees, forests and all things outdoors.  We all had a fabulous time and even the rain didn't dampen our spirits! 

Ranger Vikki took us into the woods and we learnt all about the deciduous and evergreen trees with a particular focus on pine and oak trees.  She also taught us about what an oak tree needs to grow. 

We loved our visit to the tented woodland space where we crafted clay mobiles using natural clay from the woods.  A real highlight was foraging for different coloured leaves, wild flowers and natural items to decorate our mobiles with.

A massive thank you to Ranger Vikki for a lovely day and to Jack's mum for coming along to help us too.
