14.7.19 Sandymere Learning Update
Date: 14th Jul 2019 @ 4:07pm
Well that was a very busy week! We have had so much fun and learnt so much that I’m sure our heads must be full of new facts, old facts and happy memories!
we had so much fun programming the Beebots with algorithms and spent time debugging too. Ask your children what these techninical terms mean. We have been able to apply our positional and directional work from maths and geography and some groups even turned their algorithm using NSEW. Such busy children.
In geography we continued to look at maps of Cheshire and Northwich and started to write geographic al questions for Mrs Monson to solve. They kept her very busy and set some quite challenging questions. Well done Mrs Monson for stepping up to the challenge.
In maths this week we have been learning o’clock and half past. We have been super impressed with his the children have coped with this new concept. Perhaps ask your child the time at home too. Also in maths we have revisited coins . This is something the children could do with extra practise with at home.
We have now finished the story Goldilocks and just the one bear and enjoyed writing our own diary entry using the personal pronoun I. We hope to finish writing our own versions this coming week.
In addition to this we’ve had PE and music and lots of singing too. Phew!
see you all tomorrow!
Mrs Williamson on behalf of Team Sandymere.
