29.10.2017 - Our week in Oakmere

Date: 1st Oct 2017 @ 4:02pm

We have had yet another busy week in Oakmere. In English we have continued to explore the features of writing instructions using the story George's Marvellous medicine. We have looked at how to improve a list of ingredients and equipment by adding in adjectives. This will all be extremely helpful for when we write our own instructions next week.

In Maths we have been exploring adding 10, 100 and 1000 to a given number. We have also began counting in multiples of different numbers and Mrs M has some secret tips to share with you next week to help you count in different numbers.

In Science, we acted out how the particles in solids, liquids and gases move and how we can use this information to help us determine whether a material is a s olid, liquid or a gas. Keep a close eye on our science page for the pictures of us as particles.

A huge thank you to Maisie, Mia, Jerry and Sophie for all your help at the All Age Service on Sunday. You were brilliant!

Finally, something strange happened on Friday evening before I left. A letter arrived addressed to Oakmere class. It looks very important so I will make sure I share it with you straight away on Monday morning.

See you then Mrs M
