Good morning everyone,

What a busy week we have had!  It has been crammed full of dragon related English tasks including today's dragon themed World Book Day activities.  I hope you all have an amazing day celebrating reading and the love of books - I might even sneak off and create myself a little book nook later too!

In maths I have been super impressed with the work on arrays and equal/unequal.  Keep counting in 2s, 5s and 10s to build your confidence and practise counting in 3s.

We have continued to look at our history topic this week A Right Royal Affair and took a look at Queen Elizabeth I and the Tudor times.  Some really impressive rich vs poor work was completed and showed that you really understood this historical period of time.  In the classroom we have started to develop our history display with a time line underneath the world map where we will place the periods of time in chronological order.  (We are going to continue to reference the world map throughout the year so that stays.)  See photos below of the classroom.

Also on the walls are some of the Takeshi Murakami artwork produced both at home and in school.  It looks great!  Well done children. See photographs below.

The highlight of my week is always the live sessions and Wellbeing Wednesday's session was no exception!  What a wonderful time we had.  I certainly came away beaming with smiles. As I said on Wednesday during the live - thank you so much for all the hard work and support from our Delamere class families.  The children have adapted so well to working in different set ups, be at home or school and the parents have been absolutely fantastic in their support and communication.  We lift our virtual hat to each and everyone of you.

In preparation for next weeks return encourage your children to take a little peek at the displays in photos below.  They have seen the room during our virtual tour this week too. Also gather together the home learnng pack of stationary to return to school on Monday and also any reading or library books. It might also be an idea to get your child to try on their school uniform and school shoes before Monday to check for any growth spurts!

We are very much looking forward to having Team Delamere back together again to learn and play.  The classroom is ready, the staff are ready and we are so excited to see everyone without a screen between us.

Have an amazing World Book Day - I can't wait to see the pictures and find out who the Masked Readers are! Mrs Worstencroft will be sharing the events of the day via a blog.

Take care, stay safe and I will see you on Monday!

Mrs Williamson
