6.7.17 Sandymere Learning Update
Date: 6th Jul 2017 @ 10:29am
So this week is Enterprise week and what a wonderful time we are having. We have been learning about making different amounts using different coins in maths, alongside adding money in our 'pop up shop'. We have also looked at how each value money and its importance in our lives, how to spend £5 effectively and how to grow £5 to make a proft through our Enterprise project stall.
This year our class are making homemade play dough and cloud dough. The children have had great fun measuring, mixing and kneading the dough. The jars are looking fabulous and we can't wait to sell them at the summer fair on Friday. For just 50p we have glittery dough, coloured dough, gingerbread dough (non edible!) and scented cloud dough which smells divine!
Also this week we have created posters advertising our product in Literacy with a focus on using capital letters, written letters to the new Year 1 children of 2017-2018 and shown off their handwriting. The children have been on the apparatus again in PE with Mrs Smith which is always a treat and had the opportunity to work outside in the quiet area at the new picnic tables!
It's been a lovely week. I'll see you all on Friday at the fair - don't forget to bring your pennies!
