Blakemere Class - 20.09.20

Date: 20th Sep 2020 @ 2:58pm

Another productive week in Blakemere!

To start off the week, we enjoyed another cricket lesson on Monday afternoon in the beautiful sunshine.

We have continued our English work on our class book, 'Of Thee I Sing' and have written some excellent compound sentences and relative clauses. We have begun planning a diary entry and this will be continued next week.

In Maths, we have fiinished our unit of work on place value and negative numbers. Next week, we are moving on to Roman numerals and rounding numbers.

We have created a world History timeline and a timeline showing the key events during the Early Islamic Civilisation of Baghdad. We have also started to look more in depth at life in the Early Civilisation of Baghdad.

The children have enjoyed completing another scientific experiment based on dissolving and recovering substances from a solution.

Please remember to bring your PE kits in on Monday and Tuesday next week.

Please also don't forget your reading book and record on Monday morning!

As discussed with the children in class, our weekly spelling homework will now be under the 'Homework' tab on the Blakemere Class page each week, rather than sending paper copies home.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend in this sun!

Take care,

Miss Hartley
