Blakemere's Blog - 31.01.2020

Date: 1st Feb 2020 @ 3:15pm

This week has been another busy week in Blakemere. In English we have begun focusing upon our new book 'King Kong'. We have used noun phrases to describe New York, the city in which the story is based. We have also been writing complex sentences including conjunctions. Next week we will be writing a short poem about New York.

In Maths, we have contiuned our work on decimals - multiplying and dividing decimal numbers.

In Science this week we have continued our unit of work based on properties and changes of materials. We have been explaining reversible and irreversible changes.

Once again we have thoroughly enjoyed our session of tag rugby outdoors and look forward to our session next week! In topic we have looked at the people who lived in the Shang Dynasty of Ancient China, and have created  beautiful work. In art we have enjoyed drawing a city in China using a focal point and horizon line.

Have a good weekend,
