Blakemere's Blog - 04.07.2021

What another busy week it has been in Blakemere and I feel like they are now flying by. We have continued with our work in English based on the book 'Manfish' all about the life of Jacques Cousteau. We have been continuing to use subordination and precise noun phrases within our writing. We are now also coming to the point where we are going to use all the information that we have learnt about Jacques Cousteau to write our very biography about his life. I am very much looking forward to reading the children's final pieces.

Maths has been a class of two halves. Whilst the Year 6 children have been exploring and learning about all things algebra, the Year 5 children have been recapping on elements from Year 5 to help them to progress into Year 6. I have particularly impressed with all the children's hard work in Maths.

The Year 6 play is coming together nicely and I am extremely proud of their hard work and commitment.
