Delamere Excellent Examples & Numbots Winners- 19.3.2021

We have had great two days in school! I could hardly keep up with giving out stickers and raffle tickets because there was just so much fabulous work going on. Well done Year 2!

In English we have carried on writing our own version of 'The Dragon Machine' and it has been wonderful to watch as the children have included lots of lovely story language from the book and tried hard to include their own ideas as well. See below for some examples of our stories so far. I wonder if over the weekend the children could think about how their story might end. In Maths, we continued to work on our Multiplication skills and I think our favourite part was when we got to use dot stickers to make arrays to match multiplication sentences. I have never seen the children so quiet! I think the dot stickers might be coming out again, 

In RE, moved onto the next part of the Easter story, The Last Supper and added it to our story maps. A big part of our learning is about feelings linked to each part of the story and this week we compared the feelings of Palm Sunday to the feelings of The Last Supper. To help us we went on a mood walk, something that the children really enjoyed. Maybe you could go on a mood walk over the weekend. Here is the link. Mood Walk
