Delamere Weekly Update 4th march 2016

Date: 4th Mar 2016 @ 3:21pm

What a busy week we have had.

English - We have started to look at a new book called Dougal's Deep-Sea Diary by Simon Bartram. So far we have only explored the front cover, using noun phrases to describe the things that we can see and to write a diary entry in role as Dougal.

Maths - The children have worked hard to master a new strategy for division, repeated addition on a number line. You will have seen this in thier maths books at parents evening. PLease do ask if you need any infomration about the maths strategies that we are using in class.

Topic - Our explorers topic took us under the Ocean this week. We have learnt about the different plants and animals that live in this habitat before using our art skills to create different patterns on creatures that live in the sea. We then moved on to learning about different weather and climates we would find if we went exploring around the World. Everyone created a weather map and had a go at delivering the weather forecast. The children asked me to put the link on for the website that we used, so here it is

Don't forget that there is a times table test on Monday morning.

Finally I would like to thank  those of you who attended parents evening. I hope that you enjoyed looking at all the amazing work your children have produced so far this year.

I hope you have a lovely weekend.
