We cannot believe how quickly time is flying by this half term but the children are still working hard!

In English this week we have been writing our own version of the Dragon Machine replacing the character of George with Ben and the dragons with monsters. The children have been working hard to include all of the things that we have been focusing on this half term, in particular including different sentence types. We can’t wait to complete the stories next week!

Maths has been all about money, money, money! Money is not used as much in a world full of card and contactless payments so, if you get chance at home it would be great if you could work on this skill with your child. Maybe you have a pot of change that you collect or some coins in your purse that your child could help you identify and find the total. We will continue to work on this next week.

In RE we were really impressed with how the children created their own posters of the Easter Story. We have also been working hard practising our Easter song for the Easer Service and look forward to sharing it with you next Friday.

In PE the children explored the apparatus and it was so great to see them challenge themselves and work so safely and confidently. A quick reminder that children cannot access the apparatus in skirts or long trousers for safety reasons so please ensure that your child has shorts in their PE kit.

Today we joined in with the Leaping Lambs sponsored event for St. Luke's Hospice organised by the Ethos Group and we had so much fun making our way around the circuit. Well done everyone for taking part and giving your all!

Our Numbots champions this week are Toby, Danielle and Adelaide so we are sending a big WELL DONE to you! Watch this space for the Times Table Rockstars Launch!

We hope that you have a wonderful weekend and look forward to more fun and learning in our last week of the Spring Term.
