Festive Learning in Hatchmere
Date: 11th Dec 2020 @ 4:07pm
Hatchmere have been showing off their learning this week with a little bit of festive spin. We have written letters to Santa, counted with baubles and have made our very own Christmas cards! Counting to five has had a real push this week and the children have created their own number line using different maths equipment. So clever!
And we have even more good news....everyone in our class can zip up their own coat without help from an adult! What an achievement! The pride on their faces when this tricky skill is conquered is quite something to see. Every time a child achieves independence in some small way, such as getting dressed, zipping up coats or cleaning up their own mess, their confidence grows a little more. These simple life skills actually support their learning at school by giving the children the belief that they can and will achieve anything that they put their minds to.
Well done Hatchmere, Mrs Kelly & I are very proud of you all and we can't wait to see you at the Drive In Concert on Sunday
