Girls' Football Finals

Another excellent day of girls' football was held at The Winsford Academy on 25th October 2018. Our ladies went to the Academy full of confidence and expectations of a great afternoon. However, our spirits were a little dampened when our first game  resulted in a 2-0 defeat at the hands of Witton Church Walk School from Norhtwich! 

Our next game was against Sandiway Primary and again the standard of football was amazing with Sandiway beating us 4-1. We felt a little better after this game as we had many chances and Jaime scored a super goal!

Next match was against St. Wilfrid's Primary and it was out best game beating them 3-0 with goals coming from Annie, Mya and Jaime. They did put up a very strong fight but we were the better team.

With no time to catch our breath, we were then called to play against Kingsmead Primary and we lost this one 1-0. It was a very close game and could have gone either way. 

Our final game was against Hartford Primary and again, we were beaten 1-0 in a closely fought contest. We had so many chances to score but it just wasn't to be.

Even though it was a tough afternoon, our girls tried really hard in every match and deserve to hold their heads up high. They were the Winsford champions and they did Winsford proud by their efforts and spirit in defeat.
