Hatchmere Class Blog 15.11.21

Date: 15th Nov 2021 @ 9:01am

Hello Hatchmarians,

The children have had another lovely week where they have enjoyed what has been taught.  We were proud of the way the children engaged with our Remembrance Day work and the respect they showed during our two minutes silence.  On Friday the children scattered poppy seeds to commemorate the fallen.  They have brought home a little packet of poppy seeds that you can scatter in your garden and talk about why we are planting the seeds.

Mrs Teece and I know the children are enjoying what we are doing when they take it into their play.  We had one group this week that were playing teachers and asking each other to write down some of our wow words including hibernate!

This week we are going to be doing some research on squirrels and creating an information book about what we have learned.  We will be having fun looking at capacity by making potions and pies in the Outside Classroom.  We are looking forward to seeing you all at our Reading meeting on Thursday 18th November. Please see the planning below for further detail of what we are hoping to do next week.

Take care.

Mrs Kelly and Mrs Teece
