Hello Hatchmere

Another amazing week for our class. Thank you to everyone who came to watch our first Sports Day in a while. It was great to see all the children do so well and have such a fantastic day. I was very proud of the way the children rose to the challenge of doing something so far out of their normal experiences. The preschoolers were so good having never gone over our obstacle course before and just being happy to have a go. I think they impressed us all. As much as our children loved getting the stickers and doing well for me it was great to see the St John’s community together again and having so much fun. Thank you to Spa for their donations of drinks and snacks and an extra special thanks go to our lovely parents and grandparents who volunteered to run the snack station and the raffle.

We also had our Class Collective Worship which the children were brilliant in. I was impressed with how many children learned their lines off by heart and didn’t need the nicely mounted prompt cards I made for them. To be truthful they didn’t really need me apart from to press play on our song. I would like to thank you for your support it makes such a difference.

Well done to Tianna for winning our prize this week and I am expecting at least one more gold star reader this week. Next week is our Enterprise Week where the children will make something to sell at the Fair on Friday. We will be making slime together, setting a price and making a poster to advertise our product. Every class in the school makes something for the fair and usually the children have a great time and we make a little bit of extra money for school.

We also have the leavers disco on Thursday which is our children are more than welcome to attend. I will be there for the entire time and the children are welcome to come and sit with me for a cool down and a dance. We will be sending out more information at the beginning of next week. Looks like another busy week!
