Hatchmere's Autumn Finds

Date: 23rd Oct 2020 @ 11:42am

Hello Hatchmerians,

Last week we asked our children to go on an Autumn Treasure Hunt and return to us with some treasures. What a fantastic response we had, thank you for supporting your child with this.

During this week we have explored those treasures and the children have talked about where they were found, where they came from and what they knew about them. Some lovely conversations were had about their collections and what a special time Autumn is. The children then took those Autumn finds and created Autumn 'picture boxes' to display within our classroom, I'm sure you will agree that they look fantastic!

Our children recognised that during Autumn we celebrate Harvest and give thanks to God for, not only the food that we receive but the food that is provided for our wild animals, in nature, by His design.

Another very special thank you to our Hatchmere family for the generous donations of food collected in this week! The food will be delivered to our local foodbank, more details of which can be found on Mrs Snowdon's weekly blog.

Please have a restful and safe half term.
