Hatchmere's gift

Hello.

We had a very exciting delivery on Tuesday to our Outside Classroom... four tonnes of topsoil. 

As you may be aware we are currently revamping the Outside Space with money kindly donated by the PTA and one of the areas we wanted to introduce was a planting and digging area.   However the cost of soil made this very expensive until Sophie McGowans parents offered to pay for the soil.  Thank you so much Mr and Mrs McGowan for your generous gift.   As you can see from the photographs below it was one of the most exciting things to happen in Hatchmere this year.  Our lovely delivery man Martin was very touched with the cheer he got from the children when he finally managed to navigate up the lane to our field.  The children have had a lovely, if very mucky, week planting beans and making mud pies.
