Hatchmere's Very Busy Week

Hatchmere have had a very busy week! On Monday we had Pyjama Day and Odd Sock Day! The children have been telling us all about their night-time routines at home. The class have explored all different types of nocturnal animals, particularly those that we are likely to see in our local area; foxes, mice, badgers and owls. We have also investigated the use of light to make shadows. We used a torch to replicate the Sun and each child chose a different object to 'block out' the light to cause a shadow. Some children even enacted a shadow puppet play! In addition to all of that, the children finished off the week with some very relaxing Cosmic Yoga. We really have had lots of fun through our learning this week.

Once again, we would like to thank our Hatchmerian families for their support in reading with their children at home and completing and sending in their parent involvement sheets.
