Hello Sandymere - 09.07.20

Date: 9th Jul 2020 @ 10:09am

Good morning everyone!

Thank you so much for your lovely messages and photographs this week.  We absolute love hearing from you.  This week we have been treated to pictures of a crystal garden (so pretty) and a rainy day walk, collecting apples and practising balancing skills.  Simply wonderful - what amazing skills you are developing.  The school based team have loved hearing about what you've been up to and all say 'HI!'.

In school we have been looking at information texts this week, we a focus on beaches.  We learnt about puffins and seaguls and made comparisions between the two seabirds.  Did you know ...

Puffins can dive under the water?

Seaguls build their nests high up on cliffs?

Do you think you could find out any interesting facts too?

In maths this week we have been practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s.  We have used  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zkjv382 https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/zhfjqp3 to help us with counting in 2s and  5s.  Perhaps you could take a look and have a go.  Don't forget you could also try out the Numbots activities too. Currently the leader board shows the highest accuracy scores as

Alf Aero-55 1st place

A.M.Y Earthpod in 2nd

Yellow Attobot in 3rd

Keep up the good work everyone!

On Friday you will receive your end of year report via email.  We will be phoning all families next week  to catch up with you and with the opportuntiy to discuss the reports if you wish.

We are also sending children's book next week too - information to follow.

All we need now is some sunnier weather and an opportunity to get outside and enjoy nature.

Take care and we hope to speak to you all soon.
