Welcome back and we hope you’ve all had a lovely half term.

In English we have started to look at the interesting life of Malala Yousafzai. We have been looking at children’s rights in this country and are going to write a letter stating which rights we think are important and why.

In Maths we have continued working on Fractions, finding unit fractions from an amount, converting mixed number fractions to improper fractions and vice-versa. Some children have found this challenging, so further practise at home would be useful.

In Art we are enjoying painting still life pictures of soup tins.

In Geography this term we are studying Earthquakes, We have been learning the locations of the different tectonic plates and their boundaries.

Congratulations to Alice foe winning the raffle prize.

Reminder that spellings are on Monday. PE is on a Monday and Thursday, so please bring in your kit.

We are celebrating World Book Day on Wednesday and our theme is Space. Children are invited to dress up as something linked to this theme. Some ideas are; dress up as an alien, astronaut, colour of a planet, yellow and oranges for the sun or sparkly for stars.

Have a good week.
