Back to a normal week after the excitement of London – what a fantastic experience for everyone who went!
In English, we are learning about the features of persuasive writing, including the use of modal verbs, adverbs, and persuasive language.
In Maths, we’re continuing our work on geometry, focusing on reflection. It’s been lovely to see some pupils who find number work challenging really excel in this area of maths.
In History, we’ve been learning about the Ancient Greeks and Alexander the Great. In small groups, we’ve researched different aspects of Ancient Greek life, including children, women, men, food, clothes, and houses.
In Science, we’ve been looking at circuit diagrams. Pupils have made predictions about whether a bulb will light and then constructed the circuit to check their prediction.
We continue to enjoy PE in this lovely weather and have been learning the triple jump. A reminder that PE is on Monday and Thursday, so please make sure outdoor PE kits are in school.
Congratulations to Danielle for achieving the Gold Reading Award for reading four times a week for 35 weeks!
It was also lovely to see three pupils receive lunchtime awards this week:
Keiya and Oscar for always using their manners.
Brooke for helping to clear away the trays.
Well done to Vicki for winning the raffle prize!
As the hot weather continues, please ensure pupils bring in sun hats and sun cream.
Have a great week!
