Mindfulness Club

Usually at this point on a Friday I would be looking forward to one of my favourite times of the week, my Lunchtime Mindfulness Club. I thought that I would post some of the weblinks and mindful colouring sheets that we use during this session for any children who are missing our calm time or for any other children (or grown ups!) who would like a little bit of calm bringing into their lives.

We usually make the room as calm and cosy as we can by closing the blinds and doors and playing some relaxing music. You may not need to do this at home as it may be nice and peaceful anyway, or perhaps you could head into your garden and instead of relaxing music listen to the sounds around you. The sounds of the birds and nature can be the most calming of sounds.

We then have the option to follow a mindful video, head straight to our mindful colouring or simply spend some time chilling out on cushions and blankets. The aim is to have all of your focus on whatever you are doing. Other thoughts may try and get into your headspace and if they do, just gently push them away and focus back on your task.

Enjoy!

(Ps. If you do not have a printer, any colouring books are fine or you could draw your own pictures/patterns on blank paper to then add colour to.)
