Hello and welcome to the Over St Johns family.
I am really pleased you picked Over St Johns to be your child’s school and I am looking forward to getting to know you and your child. We are going to have a great year together.
In a normal year we would have met and had a chat about your child starting school but due to Covid 19 we are having to change some of our routines. By now I will have chatted to you on the phone about September and how the children will have a gradual start to the school year.
If your child is Group A they will come in on Wednesday 2nd September at 8.50am-11.50am, Friday 4th September 8.50am-1.10pm and their first full day will be on Tuesday 8th September 8.50am-3.05pm.
If your child is Group B they will come in on Thursday 3rd September 8.50am-11.50am, Monday 7th September 8.50am - 1.10pm and their first full day will be on Tuesday 8th September 8.50am-3.05pm
All the information you need to know should be in the Starting School booklet we sent out to you but if you have a question or a query please do not hesitate to get in contact with us either through email at admin@overstjohns.cheshire.sch.uk or phone the school office on 01606 592608.
I thought I would take this opportunity to introduce you and your child to some of the people they will be coming into contact within school.
I am Mrs Kelly and I will be your child’s class teacher. I have been a teacher for a very long time (nearly thirty years!) and I particularly enjoy working with the younger children. I have two children of my own, two naughty dogs, far too many books and not enough garden space for all the plants I want.
This is Mrs Teece who has been a Teaching Assistant in our class for a long time and she is presently training to be a teacher in our class. She also has two children, two very well-behaved dogs, a huge family and seems to know everyone in Winsford!
This is Miss Oxley (left) our Administration Assistant and Mrs James (right) our School Business Manager. These are the people you will most likely speak to if you phone the office. They are the font of all Over St John knowledge and are always happy to help.
This is our Headteacher Mrs Snowdon who you will see on the gate most mornings. Please introduce yourself and have a chat. You will get to know her quite well during your child’s time at our school as she will be there for every milestone and event.
This is Jane and she is our Mid-day Assistant and she makes sure that the children are happy and well fed at lunch time.
