NSSW: Year 5/6 Tri Golf

As the Year 3/4 Tri Golf was cancelled this morning due to bad weather, the Year 5/6's were looking up to the skies all morning hoping for a little sunshine. Luck was on our side, the rain stopped and we found ourselves down at The Academy again for some super sport.

Our two teams played together, which was very nice, as it meant Mrs Reid and myself could cheer on all the children whilst making sure we logged their scores at the same time.

Tri-Golf consisted of 8 mini games mostly involving putting and chipping. Points were scored by knocking cones or chipping over a certain distance. Points were also awarded for good sportmanship and encouraging your teammates. Needless to say, both our amazing teams scored very highly in this department.

The weather gods were kind to us and the rain stayed away all afternoon meaning we all had a fabulous time. I don't think a few drops of rain would have dampened our spirits at all! Results will be sent to school in the next couple of days.

Thank you to both our teams for the way you represented Over St. John's today. You were a credit to our school.
