Oakmere 21st March

Date: 21st Mar 2021 @ 11:23am

We've had another great week in Oakmere. The children have all worked hard and are starting to settle back into the old routines.

In maths we started working on measurement. Year 3 have been comparing lengths and converting mm to cm. Year 4 have taken it a step further and were adding and subtracting lengths and then converting m and km.

We continued with our English text - The Great Paper Caper. This week we did some recapping of prepositions and then wrote our own poems trying to persuade the other characters in the book that we couldn't have been the ones who had chopped down the trees.

For history this week the children looked at Tudor fashions - compared Tudor clothes to the ones we wear today and then had a go at designing their own Tudor costumes.

Please can you remember to bring your reading book in on a Friday for changing and PE kits on a Tuesday and Friday.

See you all next week.
