Oakmere 26th February

Date: 26th Feb 2021 @ 12:35pm

We hope you all had a lovely half term break. It has been lovely to see so many of you this week, either virtually or in person.

As you will have seen and heard, we have been given the news that school will reopen again to all pupils on 8th March. We can’t wait to see everyone again and I know the children are all looking forward to meeting up with their friends.

This week we have been looking at poetry. The children have written some lovely simile poems and next week we will continue to look at list poems.

In maths year 4 pupils have been looking at and counting in tenths whereas year 3 have been trying to recognise and calculate halves and quarters.

We have been really impressed with the history work that has been completed this week. Both in school and at home the children looked at the Tudor family tree and worked out when the Tudor period was and why it came to an end. Some children went a step further and then created their own family tree.

You will find this week’s excellent examples attached to the blog – well done everyone.

Don't forget World Book Day on Thursday.

We hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
