Oakmere's Friday News

Date: 22nd Apr 2022 @ 3:14pm

Good afternoon and welcome back!

We hope you’ve all had a restful holiday. It is lovely being back with the children after what has felt like a very long break.

Although a shorter week than usual, it has been full on! We have sadly had to say goodbye to Miss Thompson who has finished her training with us, we have loved having her with us and we wish her all the best in her future career.

On Wednesday, the children went to their first swimming lesson and we were extremely proud of them for taking on a new challenge. Today is Earth Day so the children designed posters about looking after our planet, which you might have seen on our windows. This linked in beautiful with the start of our new book, we know very little about it for now but we do know that a whale brings a message to a boy to stop the damage humans are doing to the world.

We have also started fractions in Maths and everyone is showing great understanding of this topic.

Finally, just a reminder that if you’ve signed your child up for an after school club, they will start next week. Dance is on Monday and Multi-skills is on Tuesday, they are both finishing at 4 so please be prompted for pick up.

Have a lovely weekend,

The Oakmere Team.
