Our week 16th April - Linmere

Date: 20th Apr 2018 @ 3:29pm

Welcome back to the start of our final term!! Even the weather has realised that it's the summer term and as such we have been able to make the most of the sunshine playing out and having PE lessons on the field.

We have begun our English topic with some poetry work. The children have worked hard to learn and perform some animal poems this week. Towards the end of the week we looked at a specific type of poem - haiku and had a go at writing our own. Inspiration came from some video clips that we watched about some cheeky rainforest animals.

Multiplying fractions was the centre of our maths work this week for year 5. Year 4 pupils spent this time revising some of the topics we have already touched upon this year.

As we come to the end of our current topic we looked at the celebrations that took place at the end of the war and are hoping to have a little celebration of our own next week - please look out for further details.

Next week we are hoping to make some boats in science. Please could you send in anything that could help with this e.g. plastic bottles.

Have a lovely weekend, enjoy the sunshine and see you next week.
