Our week 5th March - Linmere

Date: 10th Mar 2018 @ 9:10pm

It’s been another fun filled and busy week in Linmere. We started the week by researching Gorillas in preparation for writing some poetry. The children produced some great pieces of writing and really thought about the characteristics of the animals.

In maths we continued our work on fractions looking at improper fractions and mixed numbers. The children rose to the challenge of solving problems are making great strides in this area. Don’t forget to keep practising those times tables!

Topic work centred around art and DT this week. At the beginning of the week the children created their own war medals from clay. Then later on we all had a go at drawing a spitfire – the results were amazing! We also began to look at rationing and the Dig for Victory campaign. The cardboard boxes that were sent in were put to god use as we began to transform them into mini allotments. I can’t wait to see the finished products.

On top of all of this we also managed to fit in a visit to the Hut group and a session of gym with Mr Waring!

Have a great weekend and see you all next week.
