Quad Kids Athletics

On Thursday afternoon, some Year 5s and Year 6s went to Winsford Academy and took part in an athletics competition. When we got there, we started to warm up whilst waiting for the other schools to arrive. Once everyone was there, we started the first race ( the obstacle race), the girls made a terrific start and won their race and the boys came a close second in theirs! After all the track races were completed, the boys had a rest and the girls took part in the field events including, long jump, vertical jump, speed bounce, javelin, chest push and finally triple jump! Then the girls took a thouroughly deserved rest cheering the boys during their field events..

The competition ended with some more exciting relay races. We are waiting for the results from the day and feel we have done well and are very pleased with our performance.
