I am sat writing this whilst looking out at the snow. So exciting, I love snow!
The weather has certainly turned cold so please make sure that you come to school wrapped up warm. We continue to need to have the windows open for ventilation so it would be a good idea to add a layer underneath your child’s school t-shirt e.g. a vest or a plain t-shirt.
We have got to the end of our book in English and found out that Nibbles has escaped from his book again. From looking at the clues we think he has gone on holiday. We wrote a list of the things he has taken using and to join our ideas as well as using es or s for plurals. We loved creating out own Nibbles hats by following the instructions given in our COOL Time challenge.
In maths we have continued to learn about subtraction and have used a number line. Our maths COOL Time challenges have allowed us to practise our addition and subtraction skills.
We have started our DT project this week by exploring the history of kites, creating patterns on kites inspired by our research and then carrying out an experiment to test the best materials for kite making.
Looking forward to announcing this week’s NumBot winners and awarding reading stars when I see you tomorrow.
Mrs Bettley.
