What a busy week we have had!

Easter is fast approaching and so we have been learning a song to perform at our Easter Service. Lots of the children have been asking for the link to the video so that they can practice at home, so here it is https://youtu.be/An1Wjsr-Q1o?si=hkoJAQnBXL45NXvc

We are absolutely loving our English book - Nibbles the Book Monster by Emma Yarlett. The Faithful Friends have been asking for our help as they go on their quests. This week they have asked us to show them how to use an to join words and sentences together. We have really impressed them with our skills.

In maths, we have begun a new unit looking at numbers up to 50. So far we have found out that by grouping larger numbers of objects into tens, it makes it easier and quicker to count them.
When we reviewed our place value knowledge of numbers to 20, some of us were finding it tricky to compete missing number sequences when counting forwards and backwards within 20. Please practice this skill with your child at home.

We learnt some very big words in Science this week! We looked at what animals eat and that this is called their diet. An animal is either a carnivore, herbivore or an omnivore. Can your child remember what these words mean? Which diet do you and your family have?

In PE today we had the tag rugby equipment out - such good fun!

We have had quite a lot of illness again this week. Thank you for following the guidance in the 'is my child to I'll for school?' document that is on Mrs Snowdon's blog.

We hope that you have a lovely weekend,
Team Sandymere.
