Sandymere Week 5 Part 3
Date: 23rd Apr 2020 @ 7:23pm
Hello Super Sandymere families,
The sun is shining and the birds are singing and it's so lovely to enjoy being outdoors, however if you're seeking some indoor activity inspirations then we have a few ideas for you. They are added here and also under the Home Learning tab on our class page so you can revisit them easily.
We have sourced some easy recipes for you to try out if you fancy turning your hand to baking. (in the files below) Remember that baking at home is a great way of develop reading skills, following instructions and also there's a good dose of maths involved too. My daughter and I have road tested each one for you and we can honestly say they are all delicious!
If baking isn't your thing then how about you try the maths and art activities attached in the files below? The 2D shape buildings are great fun to create.
Many of you may well be wondering how you can support your child with phonics. From Monday 27th April there will be a series of daily YouTube videos that will teach key letters and sounds and will be well worth tuning in to. We will post links once the videos are launched. In the meantime if you wish to get a head start with phonics revisions why not try out the activity in the photos where your child can label the teddies using sound buttoned words.
.
or perhaps try a game of phonics hoopla using toilet rolls and paper plates?
You may even design your own phonics games. Please do send us an email of any exciting games you create. We would love to see what ideas you have. These can be sent to our admin team and they will forward them to us.
Take care everyone. Stay home and stay safe.
