Sandymere's Class Blog 10.9.22

We have had a wonderful first week in Sandymere. Everyone has settled in really well to the new routines and they are getting used to the structure of our lessons throughout the day. The curriculum in Year 1 is a different experience than the curriculum in Reception. I am sure that they have been telling you that they have done a lot of work and hopefully lots of fun too! They have certainly done lots of work as we have the following subjects this week: English, Maths, Handwriting, Phonics, Science, PE, PSHCE, Computing and Geography. No wonder we were all tired by Friday afternoon. Well done everyone!

Spelling Homework – You still have a couple more days to practise reading and writing this weeks’ list of words ready for our spelling check on Monday.

Maths and Reading homework will start from Monday. I will be in touch via email to explain this further. 

Please check that all items of clothing are labelled with your child’s name. We have already had mixed up PE kits, missing coats, jumpers and cardigans this week. Thank you.
