Sandymere's Class Blog 17.2.23

Date: 17th Feb 2023 @ 2:20pm

Another busy week and we have made it to a much needed Half Term break. Well done everyone!

It was lovely to see you all at the pupil consultation this week.

In our learning this week we have:

  • Looked at numbers to 50 and how many tens and ones are used to make them.
  • Started a poetry unit with the Poem At the Zoo by WM Thackeray. https://www.viewpure.com/il2ODF3nKRk?start=0&end=0
  • Learnt more about Judaism by looking at a Torah scroll.
  • Continued with our work about watercolour paints and been inspired by the artist Emma Burleigh. Take a look at our wonderful artwork in the photos below.
  • Refined our attacking and defending skills whilst throwing and catching a ball.
  • Completed our work programming Beebots by writing and debugging our own programmes and algorithms.

We have welcomed Miss Pile back to school this week. For the first two weeks of half term Miss Pile will teach Wednesday morning (PE, Phonics and Music) and Miss Marsh will teach Wednesday afternoon (Science, RE and PSHCE). Then Miss Pile wil be taking over for the full day on a Wendesday.

Have a wonderful week. We will look forward to hearing what you have been up to when we are back together.

Team Sandymere.
