Well what a lot of sporting fun we have had over the last few days. Sports Day was such good fun and the children were amazing in all the events. One of the favourites was certainly the dress up race, closely followed by the welly throw. 
Then today was the OSJ Danceathon, what a great day. We were all very proud of ourselves for dancing continuously for 30 minutes at a time, no stopping allowed! There was lots of laughter, smiles and excitement all round. 

Our recent focus in maths has been volume and capacity. You can support this learning at home using the following vocabulary: full, nearly full, half full/empty, nearly empty, empty, more, less, most, least. 

The Faithful Friends have sent us a new book for our English lessons. It is called Goldilocks and Just the one Bear. I am sure if you ask your child, they will be able to tell you all about it. 

The weather is forecast to be hot this week. So that we can all enjoy the sun safely, please ensure that you apply suncream to your child before school. They can reapply this themselves at lunchtime if you would like to send them with a named bottle of suncream. Sun hats would be good to please, make sure they have your child's name inside.
