Sandymere's Class Blog 19.11.22

Date: 19th Nov 2022 @ 4:03pm

Nibbles the Book Monster has been causing all sorts of trouble in our class. He has nibbled through books, some pictures and even our work. On Friday things got even worse. Mrs Snowdon had let me borrow her umbrella for our science lesson about materials. I was opening the umbrella to talk to the children about it being waterproof when we realised the umbrella had a hole in it! We have decided to try to fix the umbrella and are going to carry out an investigation to see which material would be the best to use. Keep your fingers crossed that we can find a material with the right properties.

In our computing this week we continued with our digital painting work. This week we found out how to use Paint to draw shapes and then colour them with the fill tool. Most of the children decided this was much easier than drawing the shapes with the pencil or brush tools.

In PE on Friday we looked back to a Children in Need challenge that Joe Wicks completed last year. He did 24 hours of PE. We are not sure how he managed that as we were all exhausted after joining in for just 40 minutes!

In PSHCE, with Miss Marsh, the children have been learning about germs and what we can do to reduce them spreading. Unfortunately, even with following these rules we have had quite a bit of illness in our class this week. We hope that everyone will be back together again next week.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
