Sandymere's Class Blog 26.3.23

Date: 26th Mar 2023 @ 8:35am

This week we have enjoyed our practical maths lessons where we have been finding the mass of different objects. We have used lots of different vocabulary - mass, heavier, lighter, heaviest, lightest, balance, equal to. Did you know that bigger objects are not always the heaviest? This was something we found out in our lessons this week.

We are really enjoying reading The Curious Case of the Missing Mammoth. The characters do some very funny things! We are working hard on our mastery keys which are to use and to join words and phrases, full stops, question marks, exclamation marks and using the suffix –ed.

On Friday we took part in Leaping Lambs to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice. We had a wonderful time completing the circuit that the Ethos Group created on the school field. We were really tired after we finished but we know that we were doing it to help other people and this made us feel really proud.

We have been working hard to learn our song for the Easter Service. We can’t wait to perform this you for on Friday. The Easter Service begins at 9:15am on Friday in St John’s Church.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend,

Team Sandymere.
